Difficile de ne pas comprendre ce que défend cette association quand on en lit l'intitulé. Quoiqu'il en soit, sachez que cette association regroupe une multitude de stars et qu'un très grand téléthon est organisé pour la deuxième année consécutive et sera diffusés sur les chaines américaines le 10 septembre (ABC, CBS, FOX et NBC ainsi qu'une douzaine de chaines cablées américaines)

Pour ce téléthon gigantesque seront présent :

Laura Linney, Terrence Howard, Jim Parsons, Seth Rogen, Reese Witherspoon, Stevie Wonder, Christina Applegate, David Boreanaz, Abigail Breslin, Fran Drescher, Sally Field, Alyson Hannigan, Jon Heder, Marg Helgenberger, Ken Jeong, Rashida Jones, Minka Kelly, Zachary Levi, Ray Liotta, Mandy Moore, Gabrielle Union, Sofia Vergara et Marissa Jaret Winokur.

Des athlètes se joindront également à l'événement dont Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Lance Armstrong, Derek Fisher, Tony Hawk et Apolo Anton Ohno.

Stevie Wonder s'associera à Natasha Bedingfield, Queen Latifah, Martina McBride, Aaron Neville et Dave Stewart pour offrir une performance musicale au cours de la soirée.

Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer et Brian Williams animeront le téléthon qui sera présenté sans pause commerciale.

La productrice Laura Ziskin (la franchise «Spider-Man»), une survivante du cancer, produira le téléthon pour une deuxième édition. La première édition avait eu lieu en 2008 et avait permis de récolter plus de 100 millions $US pour la recherche.


Si je vous parle de cette opération aujourd'hui c'est tout simplement parce que je viens d'apprendre que NICHOLAS BRENDON, présent à la convention The Musical, nous a fait part du fait qu'il voulait que les bénéfices des autographes (en vente sur le site sur ce lien), soient reversés à STAND UP TO CANCER.
